@micahflee question, have you ever considered to add a functionality to Onionshare where you can just paste the link into their own onion share, and let it download the file on its own, so people dont have download and open the link in tor browser?

If you want to share a file with a friend or colleague, you don't have to trust a third party service. You can use OnionShare.
The newest version even lets you publish static websites as onion services.

The work on opening up the privacytools organizations continues, we are now busy creating a draft for sub teams. These will be focus groups meant to improve specific aspects of out project and community. It will make use able to easily coordinate other members as part of the Core-team, and lets us do proper rights management as well. (For example, the Artwork Sub-team does not need moderation rights on our subreddit)
Have a look!

P.S. keep in mind, this is a draft.

While everybody is talking about #COVID19, US Congress was sneaking a bill through aimed at destroying end-to-end encryption. #earnit #Fight4Privacy

Our prime minister just addressed the nation about the coronacrisis. These are some weird times i tell ya.
Say, @micahflee has the intercept ever considered running an .onion mirror of their website? (Or does it already have one that i am unaware of?)

We've made some changes to the way we present Tor exit lists. The new system is up and running and behaves closer to a typical DNS-based list service, and so it may be easier to integrate without requiring custom code implementation.

And here we go: A little article about federated ecosystems like the
#Fediverse and
#Matrix. And guess who is missing out on it? #Fedora! I want to change that and it would be great if you could help. Therefore I ask:
Fedora, where are you?

Help us to get Fedora on board with all these awesome, new technologies we use every day already.

I want to make Linux more accessible to everyone, but also make the complicated and ever growing field of distros easier to understand.
That's the goal or my new project, Try Linux.

One of my favorite sites for learning about Linux distro's has seemingly been dead for a while. So I decided to fork it, and have now started working on it as a new project.

Take action against Section 215 of the Patriot Act. This mass surveillance should be ended at once and for all. https://act.eff.org/action/tell-congress-do-not-pass-a-clean-reauthorization-of-section-215
Interesting site, it describes commonly used tactics to subvert virtual machines.
Dear PrivacyTools community, after a lot of work during the past few months, we are proud to present our new email page.
It now comes with a neat criteria section, and a ton of other information. Major shout out to our team member daniel for being the driving force behind this assignment :)
Go take a look and enjoy!
