We are currently discussing how we will proceed.

Reminder: Humans have existed for like 200,000 years, and there are around 9 billion humans alive right now. Whatever you’re struggling with, someone else is struggling with it too, and we’ve been struggling with it for millennia.

The point: you are not alone. ❤️

Currently im looking into the tutanota situation. So far it seems less bad then I initially thought.

It seems like all encrypted parts of the system will be untouched. Ill be talking about it with the @Tutanota team to get their side of the story in as well, and publish a story on it on our blog so it will be cleared up.

Stay tuned, folks.

There was recently a lot of news about DNS over HTTPS. Some people say it's bad for privacy because it centralizes the DNS requests on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9.

Time to change that and run your own DNS over HTTPS server. I spend some time today in writing, documenting and arranging a small container setup to allow you to do this:

git.shivering-isles.com/contai

Qwant works daily to build his own index and become completely independent. However, the process is long and requires a lot of time from our technical teams.

We explain on our blog where we stand with the web indexing we are currently doing.

We did it! We came together as a community and met our fundraising goal to defend software freedom from patent litigation.
