Instance news! (Tor)

@jonah @MasTorDon now @jonah, can we embrace a for version of our instance as well :D

@volpit lol, its been on the major news network here for a few days now....

@Marno yh, also , power is a lot more mature already then risc-v. Because of this, I think it will be a lot more likely for it to picked up by a company to make open hardware. Maybe raptor (makers of the Talos II would be interested).

IBM has just realised the Power ISA as open source, this is a great step towards open hardware!

@jwildeboer the rest of us Europeans is now watching it with a bag of popcorn like it's the newest soap drama.

As part of our plan to overhaul our VPN section at privacytools.io, we can now proudly present our now VPN layout: privacytools.io/providers/vpn/

Note that we can still add a few refinements later on. Also at the end of 2019 we will re investigate all vpns listed, and lock the amount of providers we recommend to 3.
What do you all think?

Tails, a live operating system relying on Tor that helps you to use the internet anonymously and circumvent censorship almost anywhere you go and on any computer, turns 10 today.

Happy birthday, Tails πŸŽ‚

After decades of suffering through ipchains/iptables syntax, and seeing how easy fw and ufw made common firewall workflows, it's disappointing that the best Debian's iptables replacement can do is:

nft add rule inet filter input tcp dport 22 accept

When syntax for common workflows is complicated, you increase the chance the admin will make a mistake that exposes them to attackers. See S3 bucket permissions for more examples of this. #infosec #devops

@kev why not install qubrs is and try all the distros you want at the same time with it :D?

@Denizen5 seems more like a problem with your ROM, cant reproduce this on my phone.

@MasTorDon that's pretty awesome, have you also considered a v3 onion?

@aral do they have to go it because you critised erdogan? Or is in all Turkish people have to go thru?

"U.S. attorney general William Barr has said consumers should accept the risks that encryption backdoors pose to their personal cybersecurity to ensure law enforcement can access encrypted communications." πŸ™„ techcrunch.com/2019/07/23/will

@kev @loke also consider that in Iraq the air is dry as fuck, where in the UK its way more moist, so you cool down less.
