@Yoric @switchingsocial@mastodon.at well you could put all documents in a zip file. That way they also take up less space :)
@mattmcnutt in that case, these apps may interest you:
Open In WhatsApp (Open Chat in WhatsApp) - https://f-droid.org/app/io.github.subhamtyagi.openinwhatsapp (this one allows you to open chats in WhatsApp without giving WhatsApp your contacts permission)
Shelter (Isolate your Big Brother Apps / Multiple Accounts) - https://f-droid.org/app/net.typeblog.shelter
(Allows you to completely separate the application from all your other apps and data.)
@Yoric @switchingsocial@mastodon.at how about onionshare
@synfinner yh its pretty neat, and having a secure mobile is pairs really great with my secure desktop(which runs Qubes OS)
@sheogorath have been out of the loop for a while, what's this about?
@todd will the default os come with basic security features like strict selinux policies, verified boot, fbe, that have become standard these days?
@Tutanota how is the .onion service going? :D
@mattmcnutt you do know Facebook owns WhatsApp right?
Currently testing out a new pixel3a with graphene OS, a hardened android spin which aims to provide all android base security features, and apply extra hardening on top, like a hardened memory allocator and things like remote attestation. The is seems really functional and stable overall, will check back later.
@sheogorath how about a new fancy hdmi ;p
@WorldWideWebWizard id also rather not support bluetooth, its unneccesary attack surface and battery drain.
@WorldWideWebWizard aso wired headphones dont need to be charged, they always work, thats what i call innovation!
@michel_slm Whats it like being a privacy enthosiast in the hole of the lion?
boosted
@sheogorath would ecc help defend against this?
@greyor Glad it helped you, you may read my other posts as well, I write a lot of similar stuff in the hopes of educating other people. Ill be soon bringing on out of browser fingerprinting.
@greyor note that its not a paid version of the browser, just a service you can use with it, like a vpn and cloud storage.
@greyor While a vpn is indeed a lot better them nothing, you may like this blog post I wrote on the topic: https://write.privacytools.io/my-thoughts-on-security/slicing-onions-part-2-onion-recipes-vpn-not-required
@greyor dont forget that tor properly protects your ip and is capable of anonymous browsing though, so if you want to don more sensitive stuff, tor browser is recommended.
