@Tutanota oooh, didn't notice that one before, neat.
@glitcher32 seems like a honeypot, just use Tor.
@Tutanota Email export to?
@one better yet, treat passwords like your underwear change them once in a while, don't share them with others, and don't leave them hanging around.
@Mayana from what I have read thorin (developer of the ghacks user.js ) its currently abandonware.
@74d80bee @privacytools Because it is closedsource, so we cannot verify its cryptography.
@purism @omgubuntu but those alternatives already exists,for free.....
@Sonicpotato@mastodon.social @purism Nope nothing.
@kev @sheogorath It works I did the same, after a few months I even installed whatsapp in an emulator on my computer and only checked it once every few days.
I have updated my blog, now with fancy markdown(Okay, basic markdown) check it out:https://write.privacytools.io/my-thoughts-on-security/how-to-choose-a-secure-messenger

@cchaudier @Qwant I don't speak french but i luckly have a translator: glad to see you too
@sheogorath 2FA is massively underrated. Even sms based 2fa can make a ton of difference.

Just a thought on Cloudflare WRAP (their VPN offer):
You definitely put yourself in big danger by using it. Cloudflare has an own CA that is able to issue certificates for ANY website. Means when they want to MITM you while using WRAP you won't even see a certificate warning.
(There are some ways to mitigate that like public key pinning, but the majority of HTTPS pages won't)
So probably use something else.

Time to update 🔔
Tor Browser 8.0.9 fixes the issue which disabled NoScript and all other Firefox extensions signed by Mozilla.
If you used the workaround we mentioned, don't forget to set it back after installing this update. https://blog.torproject.org/new-release-tor-browser-809
