@blacklight447 That's a good idea, thanks for your feedback. We'll research options for this. On the other hand, news sites could simply not track the IPs of their website visitors, that's what we do: secureconnect.tutao.de/contact

Today is Press Freedom Day! πŸ’ͺ To support Press Freedom and to fight for our Rights to Privacy and Freedom of Speech, we are launching Secure Connect – an open source encrypted contact form. Secure Connect is free for news sites so that whistleblowers can get in touch with journalists securely. βœŠπŸ˜ƒπŸ‘‡

@Tutanota well its not only about your IP protection, a country controlled certificate authority could be forced to forge a false https certificate, they can also be hacked to do this, search up the case of Diginotar and Iran as an example for this. And trick the user into thinking they connected securely. With an .onion, this is not possible. If the .onion is correct, the user can be assured that they connected to the right site, and the connection has not been tampered with.

@Tutanota Will it soon be reachable via a v3 onion to? Seems like an important bonus for a whistleblowers.

@Tutanota say, whatbis exactly the difference between secure connect and secure drop?

@one Lets put it like this: freedom of speech is the freedom to voice your opinion, it does not require that your taken serios or are listened to, people can just ignore you.

Btw , I also just heard from our favorite admin in the world @jonah, that our searx instance is now reachable from a regular v3 .onion :)

@sir @noorul @Purism Theres alot of stuff on your blog that i dont agree with, but indeed, this is just some real bullshit they are pulling, they don't even give credit back to the original apps.

@kev they are just indeed paid rebranded fork of already existing stuff, and they are not even crediting the original apps :)
