@jaiden4079 How so?
@Wetrix Yh we are going to need some more details.
@jonah Can happen, no worries?
@sheogorath @saxnot well i wouldnt exactly call ms word a fail, lol.
@micahflee ah yes , threat intelligence agencies, they are all the same, with their AI's scanning the "deepweb" and their scary pictures of icebergs.
@jaiden4079 Qubes os is good, but only if your already somewhat tech savvy and used to linux.
@micahflee Wanna trade?
@Wetrix well my problem with alternative nedicine is that i think people are prone to placeabo effects.
@Wetrix so who are these women you keep posting
@tomasz_z You cant indeed, checking this stuff is almost a fulltime job, which is why they do it for you, wheter you trudt our community more then corporate alternatives is up to you :)
@Tutanota Awesome to hear! I recommend you to make a v3 onion, they come with big crypto updates to make impersonation way, way harder.
and i recommend to use a one hop service, it wont hide the tutanota server, but give an big increase in performance, while still giving the user anonimity and all the neat security goodies tor services bring.
@jaiden4079 well if you cab do it on a normal distro, you should be able to with qubes os, but really, if your threat model is high as you needing 2fa screenlockers, font bother. Screenlockers in linux, especially the x based ones, are really insecure, they are more usefull as a screensaver then as a real defence.
@jaiden4079 some css attacks are possible to look up screensize, but this cannot be solved thru addons, its also why tbb advises you to not resize the window if you have a high threatmodel. Anyway believe me, you will not make your firefox more resistant than tbb against fingerprint, and dont even think about modifying tor browser with addons, since you will only make yourself less anonymous by looking different then all other tbb users.
@glitcher32 Yh, but start page and searx use other search engine to, it make no difference where thru an api or thru website scrapping, they still get data
@Tutanota hey guys, any plans for an onion site to help protect users in dictatorships research you without having to worry about rogue certificate authorities :)?
@jaiden4079 tor browser does already all the fingerprint protection out of the box, often alot better then most of the so called "hardend"(tldr FF with a crapton of addons and about:configs prefs switched) will ever be able to provide.
@dan can you make one in the shape of the privacytools logo :D
@glitcher32 you could say the same about startpage and searx.
@maigonis ;)
