What do you get when a spoiled princess with a money allergy puts together a 'cheap' PC build? RIP 1500 euro. πŸ’” πŸ’Έ

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 1 x 32 GB DDR4-2666
Storage: Sabrent Rocket 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME SSD
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card
Case: Corsair 275R ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply

Jeeeesus I just did a basic comparison of these features with the MacBook Pro (2019). Assuming that a comparison between the AMD Ryzen 9 3900x and the Intel i9 (??) CPU would be fair, and keeping all other specs sort of the same, the MacBook Pro costs about double the price of this build.

@Gina Not fair at all. The MacBook Pro i9 processor is a laptop class CPU, where I believe you got desktop class - much more powerful.

@edebill Yeah and there's something to say for the extremely thin and portable design of a macbook. I just passionately hate the Apple OS, so it wouldn't ever be an option for me.

@Gina @edebill you can just install linux on them though :p, im hoping that lenovo brings out a thinkpad with a ryzen 4800u, 8 cores 16 threads on 15 watt tdp. Bundle that with some speedy 16 GB of ddr4 ram and a one TeraByte nvme M.2 storage, awwwwwwwwh yeah.

@Gina @edebill this mat even turn out cheaper then your 1500 euros :p
