It's "World Password Day" - which is an excellent day to remind you to use an encrypted password manager. Literally any of them are better than not using one.

Why use one? It allows you to create unique complex usernames and passwords that are forgettable.

This increases your information security.

Our manager of choice is #KeePassXC - it's easy to use, syncs really well across any cloud service and is loaded with features and a browser extension.

@DonMcCollough @theprivacyfoundation at Privacytools.io, we recommwnd bitwarden as well as keepassXC. Bitwarden has been audited and is completely open source ( you can even selfhost it)

@blacklight447 That's the reasons I was asking about it as I'd heard good things about it. I'm using KeePassXC right now and have been debating switching for the ease of access bitwarden has on other devices.
@theprivacyfoundation

@DonMcCollough @blacklight447 We hear good things about BitWarden but have not spent too much time with it. I suppose we should add that to our issues list to do a comparison :)

KeePassXC has a new UI coming that we are excited about.

@theprivacyfoundation
keepassxc has a nice feature about using non Ascii chars in its generator.
keyboard shortcut to fill other apps is nice too.
I dunno if it can use 2fa and #fido2 keys to secure the vault.
#bitwarden can do that. I should totally self host one, one of these days.

For accessing a KeePass database on other devices, Syncthing is a really good option. I've been using it for a long time and love it.
@blacklight447

@amolith I've not tried that. I'll have to look into it for sure!
