Men ruining running
I don't think men realize how a bit of catcalling can completely ruin a run. Felt incredibly awkward and gross, I just immediately walked home instead of #running :/
Men ruining running
@Gina where do these guys even come from? Any guy in my circle would call out the cat caller for being a moron.
Men ruining running
@blacklight447 this happened TWICE during the run. First two guys in a car honking and shouting, then a few workers having a beer outside shouting “HEEY LADY! YEAAAH, WE SEE YOU!”
Honestly pretty tame but still. I can deal with catcalling while doing regular stuff, but while running I somehow feel extra watched. Like yeah guys, despite me wearing a fucking harness (and a long sleeve shirt, normal pants) shit jiggles, I KNOW, THANKS FOR MAKING ME AWARE.

@blacklight447 sorry I'm a bit angry about it, will direct it into doing some yoga in my backyard. Thanks for listening ❤️
Men ruining running
@Gina no problem, idiots like this can be infuriating.
P.s. im just starting to run myself, any tips for a newb?
Men ruining running
@blacklight447 yes, log everything in an app so you can see your progress. It's not going to be fun in the beginning (or at all ever, in my case), but it's really satisfying seeing improvement :)
Men ruining running
@Gina i see, well im currently just using the elliptical at home, i improved my time from 10km 41 minutes down to 34 minutes, so lets see how that is gonna translate to running. Anyway, thanks for the tip.
Men ruining running
@Gina nonono, im using an elliptical trainer_ ( one of these: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=elliptical&iax=images&ia=images ) they often severely over estimate the numbers.
