Yikes. No. @kev is wholly patently wrong & @blacklight447's article is contractory.

Privacy is /part of/ security. When blacklight mentioned "CIA" (confidentiality, integrity, availability) -- that much is correct.

Privacy *is* confidentiality. They are synonyms w/the only distinction being culture/style. Once you accept that there is no meaningful significant difference b/t privacy & confidentiality, it's then clear that #privacy is a *component of* #security.

When you say "difference between security, privacy, anonymity," just stop. You're all mixed up. #Anonymity is simply a specific variety of privacy. It's privacy of identity.

So anonymity is /a kind of/ privacy, and #privacy is /part of/ #security.
