I have to fully agree with this article: AMP is a weapon. A weapon of Google to take control over content that is neither owned nor produced by Google.

Making websites faster is a nice goal, but it's the wrong way when you force people to be/stay within the Google ecosystem for that.

We need more diversity in search engines. It's a key position in the web market. Looking at you Firefox, last bastion of a non-chromium browser with market share, take your duty!

@sheogorath Well the problem is, mozillas income depends for 90% on google being the default search engine in firefox. When they change that, mozilla income will drop even further, making it harder to develope firefox.
