To be clear my partner is willing to listen, but I am not willing to burden ppl IRL with managing my ED
I have residual eating disordered thought patterns from when my mom died when I was 14. Not wanting to put my partner through every thought, but also wanting help, I decided to try out #7cups bc of its community building ethos. That being said, is it legit, or should I be wary of the tech accelerator who backed it? Is there a #Foss equivalent?

Love means wanting the best and treating them in that way. Sometimes love is tough. Sometimes love is hitting them upside the head and telling them to get their shit together. It's telling them they're being an asshole or are harming others. It's also hugs and lifting up and random compliments to the people you pass on the street.
So you can fully love others without fail.

Someone recommended Jitsi https://meet.jit.si/ for interoperable (Linux, Windows, mobile) #screenshare #videoconference and it works brilliantly. So much easier than the whole Zoom/Skype/Team "download a helper app" crap that only works on Windows...

You can:
* Use filters liberally to remove posts that annoys you
* Mute or block other people or bots who get boosted into your timeline if you don't want to see them again
* Try to remember to not click on CW's for stuff that will leave you feeling worse
* Unfollow
And you never have to explain why
You can do so for reasons that are entirely "selfish" or "petty"
E.g. "Their jokes were crass so I muted them"

Branded phrases like this are deeply embedded in our vernacular these days, so don't fret!
Slow down and make a conscious effort to say "Search on the Internet" instead.
We know someone that made a "Google swear jar" and each time they used the G-word in conversation, a dollar went in the jar.
