I thought so too. I now see him as a perfect example of how colonialism perpetuates itself by making myths that hide the violence it wrecks. As someone of English descent, unlearning imagining how the British have ruled as proper is the wake up call, the work ahead.

There is actually nothing surprising about how the nation (and specifically ruling class) that brought us despots like Queen Victoria, Winston Churchill, and Margaret Thatcher now faces #BorisJohnson as it's next PM.
