@atticus heard a person talking about this on RTE, it was not "non peered review" as stated in this article but that person said there was only a few strains while in the article it states "More than 30 different mutations were detected, of which 19 were previously undiscovered". Personally I would say no one knows for sure.

Yeah, I'd be extremely skeptic about that.
Every virus mutates and SARS-CoV2 has only aquired about 30 base changes since its first sequence was published. That is in fact really low for a virus and it is yet to be seen if there are any functional changes.
So either the article is bad, or the study.
