I can't speak for @lightweight , but I'd be interested in contributing actively to CC projects again at any time they choose to stand up some CC-controlled comms channels that run on free code software (at minimum) and ideally federate. Using Slack might attract a lot of Slack users to their channels, but it alienates a sizable chunk of the people who actually create the commons.
