@g I could write a book on this. I'll also mention that #CloudFlare uses #Google's #CAPTCHA, & that's a #privacy abuse in itself. Google links your logged in cookie w/the CF site the CAPTCHA is on.

@Mr_Teatime @nipos the Firefox plugin that redirects CF sites is called "Block Cloudflare MITM Attack" and is posted here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/user/14218621/. @blipp I've already moved all but two of my projects from Github to @codeberg (I'm one of the early users, right when they opened) – and the remaining two will follow this year (probably before spring even). It's a much better fit, as "our philosophy" matches (free projects deserve a free platform – and vice versa). Still waiting for the stars to catch up, though 🤣
Besides: nice, friendly and helpful "staff", and a trustworthy admin there 😃

I just discovered https://codeberg.org, a free-to-use and open-for-registration #Gitea instance run by the German non-profit organisation #Codeberg e.V. – @codeberg is “dedicated to build and maintain supporting infrastructure for the creation, collection, dissemination, and archiving of Free and Open Source Software”. Nice Github and Gitlab alternative :)

I mostly use computers that are very locked down: everything over Tor, no Javascript by default, must copy-paste links in most apps, etc. I think this actually makes me more productive since distractions are no longer a single click away. We have sold out the #Internet to #SurveillanceCapitalism, which has changed it from augmenting human intelligence into #addictive drugs that appeal to our basest instincts Now those companies think its OK to do the same with #AI. We must stop it!

I want to suggest #Friendica to a #Twitter.
The goal is to import all his Tweets without replies to others and without mentions of other people. Preferably imported tweets should look like native Friendica posts.
Is that easy to setup?
He just fled #Mastodon because of the people telling him that they don't want Crossposts. Which I agree to, but I can accept imports if the user replies to comments in the #Fediverse too. So not just a dump but an active account.
