@_microbe101 They didn't start with Covid, they've been here before. Just now they might push with their usual logic as they did before – saying it's OK because "do you want people to die? don't you want to end quarantine?", implying a "necessary" evil. The old reasons lost some power ("but the terrorists!" / "protect the children") for long-term abuse, so they happily pick up their chances.
And well, who believes they will stop after Covid, will get the positive answer from Santa Claus.

@_microbe101 I was speaking about surveillance (for the alleged purpose of child protection, terrorism fight, and now pandemia fight). They are usually not that interested in protecting/fighting – they are interested in control. All else are just convenient arguments.
Example: you cannot take a coke through airport security *in a bottle* – but if you drink it before their eyes they let you through. If I'm a suicide bomber I don't care where the liquid is when it explodes. But they can sell another bottle.

@_microbe101 Haben sie in West-Berlin gespielt. In der DDR durften sie ja nicht. Aber das Konzert war so dicht an der Mauer, wir haben einfach auf der anderen Seite gestanden und mitgesungen… Oh, those were the days…

aus dieser Bewegung ging *die Grünen*
Partei österr. hervor, mit Fr. Freda Meissner- Blau als parteigründungs- mitgl. unter anderen, die der idee folgten.
heute sind die grünen koalitionspartner der oevp (vormals schwarz, heute türkis), in der reg. hoffentl. besinnen sich die grünen ihrer
wurzeln!
