@jonah, I can help. can you give permission to me to check in? I made a small edit to browser-addon.html and the en.yml. If that is correct I'll keep at it.
my git hub ID is @yeet647.
@marc0janssen I use pgp with outlook mail client (using the gpg4win outlook plugin). It was easy to set up but like you said not many other folks use pgp so getting critical mass is tough. My approach is to have the pgp ready, ask if folks have a public key, and try to raise awareness of encryption that way.
@trooper you may want to drill in to the location setting some more. There is a sneaky setting called “significant locations” that is described at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207056.
Not sure your threat model but if you don’t want that location info stored on your phone then best to go in and explicitly disable it. Even with location services disabled that setting stays on unless you are explicit about turning off.
@pkntl @Mayana take a look at nextcloud. I use this hosted on https://woelkli.com for my calendar, contacts, and reminders. I‘be used this on both Etar (f-droid) and the default calendar app on iPhone.
@p50ec welcome! I’m new too. Seems like a good instance for privacy/security related topics and active group.
