Poland plans to make censoring of social media accounts illegal
@anon_les @ParmuTownley ah OK. I knew it was a messaging app but I thought maybe your friends used it because it could host chat rooms or something ππ
I think I used it before but my friends IRL just text so didn't use it much π
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat hmm. Maybe it's a client plug-in feature of some app? π€
@ParmuTownley is signal like ICQ nowadays with these chat rooms?
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat @romina well if they're both foss I think it comes down to preference for alot of it. I've never had problems with FF, I just don't like Google or anything to do with them that's all βΊοΈ to each their own I suppose π€
@ParmuTownley yeah? They don't use mastadon etc?
@kravietz good article thx for this π
@gritnot I'm not sure exactly. I think it works like the fediverse maybe?
@mistermonster people are making alternatives. One day! πΎπ
@romina @Three Badgers In A Trench Coat we also have to keep in mind FF is foss. We don't actually know how secure brave is iirc
FF is my main browser to. To many good extensions and it syncs nicely. I prefer foss myself π
@mistermonster it would be nice seeing as monopolies aren't supposed to exist in the USA, but sadly that's what almost every industry is controlled by.
πππ
@mistermonster @gudishvibes I admit to nothing π
@mur2501 not mine π Only sex organs have veto power π€£
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat I'm still waking up and reading π
Need coffee βοΈπ΄
@Saphir The inventor of the Internet is actually still alive. I saw an interview he did I think last year? He says he regrets making the Internet now sadly. π
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat the reason it upset people is brave has hardly been around long and already got caught screwing people. Who knows what else they haven't got caught doing.
2. FF with the right extensions I'm sure is more secure. I'd have to look more into it because I just woke up. ππ
3. Agreed.
