Can someone recommend a phone to buy for a person who is not technologically proficient at all and has never owned a smartphone but is not a privacy disaster? I'm really not sure here.

@TheDoctor iPhone

Easy to use, privacy minded, very newbie friendly and just works well 😊

@Wetrix Because you were totally into Steve Jobs? I mean, I think I could easily find some very valid reasons not to use Apple products. I don't hate it or anything but I'm somewhat sceptical

@TheDoctor well when u can find a better reason to use android I'm open to hearing it πŸ™‚

It certainly won't be for privacy or security so I don't see any upsides myself for me.

@Wetrix I totally agree, stock android is terrible for privacy which is why I use a custom rom. But I was rather talking about arguments against Apple and not ones for android :)

@TheDoctor oh yeah for sure if you have points against apple I'm open to hearing them. 🍏😊

@Wetrix @TheDoctor apple has concerned me with their past actions, like the phone slowing you mentioned, error 53 and repair price gouging compared to independent repair stores.

@gudishvibes @TheDoctor apple is def not perfect your not going to get any arguments from me there 🍏 They aren't perfect but Google is terrible and doesn't even pretend to care about your privacy πŸ₯Ά
