@Obscurequokka I think trust, in maybe less than a dictionary term, is just to believe someone, their integrity, truthfulness, and in what they're doing. you don't require a group to do that. You might trust your family, a friend, or whomever, you don't just trust them because a large group of people other than yourself does. I think trust and privacy, while sometimes overlapping and conflicting in different ways, both fundamentally need to work together.

@Obscurequokka @ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat I was reading up on fingerprinting, and both browsers are use already have fingerprinting protection built into it so that's a good thing! I think it's still using a good VPN pretty vital to having good privacy online :-) I am thinking of using squirrel VPN because it's peer to peer and decentralized with no logs.

@Wetrix @Obscurequokka Even the action of turning on privacy.resistfingerprinting in Firefox or whatever in Chrome/ium increases your fingerprint. Also in Firefox it really just makes you look like you're running a different version and you're on Windows. Still doesn't stop the fact of fingerprinting with IP, about:config tweaks, setting tweaks, dnt headers, etc.

Btw use about Mullvad instead of squirrel VPN (couple of reasons I won't get into unless you want me to.)

Blatantly under Chinese development as they have broken English all over there website as they have Chinese characters in their page title, broken English all over their website, and a Chinese User Manual that has only been translated to English. There is little to no information about them online. Their only contact email is through outlook, the only other way to contact them is through telegram.

It's "based on block chain technology". Vague terms and marketing with no elaboration. Requires you to create an account. No information on what payment methods are accepted before creating an account. They say that they can and will take down accounts if they break ToS but this in direct contradiction to their own previous marketing which states "no logs". High cost unless you go for a long-term lock-in contract.

There are other things but there are the main ones.
