Windows 10 update removes Flash and prevents it from being reinstalled https://www.engadget.com/windows-10-update-removes-flash-and-prevents-it-from-being-reinstalled-071737612.html
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat
Come on, did you read the article?
1) it's an optional update so far
2) only system flash component gets deleted, not the ones installed by user
3) my Debian Testing (which probably has code from 1993?) deletes packages with bugs from repos, they eventually break even if installed.
Anyways, people who own Windows accepted the terms and random things MS does should not be a surprise for them. I would even say they deserve those, for supporting a monopoly.
@m_svo @ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat it's only optional for now. Adobe is discontinuing flash and windows is entirely removing it in the near future.
@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat I agree.
The only saving grace windows has is gaming. If it wasn't for the gaming market I think windows would have become a minor player a long time ago.
@Wetrix OK, I understand that flash is dying anyway soon but that's not even the point. This is just another example of Windows users being hopelessly at the mercy of Microsoft and what they deem acceptable and in-date for their ironically insanely bloated OS that has code from Windows 98.
