If a friend of mine has tagged me on a Facebook post (photo) when i had a Facebook account and i deleted my account later, will Facebook's facial recognition technology still have access to my facial data? If that's the case should i ask my friend to delete the photo or switch off facial recognition in Facebook settings
On instagram a friend of mine has posted a group photo in which I'm also a part of, however i wasn't using Instagram and i wasn't tagged. Is Facebook's facial recognition still a threat to privacy in this case too?
@jonah Can you help me? I'm new to this whole privacy thing and a bit confused.
In public places excluding protest sites such as shopping malls, metro transit should i wear glasses that emit infrared light to prevent facial recognition technology in CCTVs from scanning my face?
@cjleads @jonah I'm not sure what's going to happen on this front but SOMETHING will happen. Sooner than later someone is going to invent something that will counteract facial recognition.
It could be something as simple as something you carry in your pocket the size of an iPod player that puts out a signal that distorts your digital image to cameras etc but it's always a cat and mouse game.
