@Wetrix Apparently the avenue of attack on this is revoking section 320 exemptions ("platforms" are not liable for user generated content) so this might affect stuff like FB or Google but will not affect stuff like Matrix or XMPP. Use FOSS comms and encryption and you'll be fine.
