We need a totally peer to peer decentralized internet.
There is one out there I can't remember the name of it but it's slow and clunky.
We need a real free decentralized internet, free of ICANN and all the rest of it that works and is efficient.
One free of corps like Google, Facebook and all the rest. Like the fediverse where if they show up we just block there domain and they disappear.

@freemo true, but in 10 years we went from Nokia to iPhone so anything is possible π
@mistermonster I will check these out Ty!
@Wetrix You're probably thinking of either GNUnet or Freenet (both of them slow and clunky). It's a tough problem to solve. IPFS is fast and slick, but pretty limited in how much privacy protection you get.
@ethicsperoxide yeah, I'm hoping we can get something better and start
internet 2
@Wetrix There are fundemental technical issues that many beleive are impossible to overcome that make decentralized infrastructure impossible (too slow).
I personally think they can be solved and even worked a bit on that problem writing a protocol that used HF propegation as a test ground.
But thing is, its a technological problem with some really serious hurtles no one has proposed solutions for.
