Update: I have given up on Raspbian. I am now going the way of Ubuntu.
I had a laugh trying to build my own dashboard, and got hung up on trying to get my Outlook calendar to come over. I gave up.
Now I am going to look into MagicMirror2. And see how useful it can be as a simple screen dashboard.
@RaeYcrep that's pretty cool your using Ubuntu. What do you use to do art? GIMP?
Or other things like iPad etc? 😊
If I had the money I'd do the same thing your doing and live completely outside society (with internet of course 😅)
@Wetrix oh I’m a traditional artist. This year I’m hoping to work more on screen printing and ceramics. Maybe move from analogue photography into digital photography, too. Ubuntu is to help me learn coding and programming, as a way to break things without destroying my other computers. Otherwise I’m on windows 10 for gaming :) I have an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil but only because it was shiny tech and I’m attracted to that like a magpie😂!
