The one thing I would love to do is escape windows, except I like gaming to much π
I would love to just move to Linux (mint or Ubuntu) and forget about windows but alas that's why they dominate the market. Gaming.
Anyone else here play MMO's like wow, gw2 or FFXIV?
@cheese_n_krakens really? I know a few people in a thread on the forums that run guild wars 2 on Linux.
If it's really doing that good then I might just make the switch permanently! :-)
I have no desire to go to windows 10 LOL
@Wetrix now you've got me itching to play an mmo again. lotro or swtor or gw2. Dangit I thought I'd kicked that habit.
@cheese_n_krakens I've always been addicted to mmo's lol π
I started playing wow in wrath of the liche king and neeeeever stopped π
Played RIFT, LOTRO, DDO, FFXIV, GW2, you name it I played it.
Gw2 has been my home for a long time now. You just can't beat the dynamic events and their mounts etc. It's amazing ππ»
I'm watching wow world firsts on twitch as I type this π€£
@Wetrix WoW has a Gold/plat rating on wine according to winehq, GW2 has a gold rating, FFXIV has a gold rating. Many windows games, especially older games, run quite well on Linux via wine. I made the switch to Linux last year. About 75% of my steam library is still playable, and that number improves every day. Check www.protondb.com for lots of data on playability through wine/proton
