I don't play pc games on Linux but I know it's becoming more and more stable.

@Wetrix dual boot works best for me. Windows for gaming, Linux for everything else.

Tighten up your privacy controls on windows and dual boot. Or run your Linux variant in virtualbox/seamless mode for now. Ultimately, (budget allowing) you would have two separate devices, one locked down for gaming, and the other privacy/security (QubesOS). Sidenote, from a data leakage/privacy standpoint, it is a good idea to be running PiHole or a proxy to visibly and defensibly see that you are in fact running in alignment with your privacy model.
