@selea
That's so sweet!

Ps.
Does he play SuperTuxKart?
It's such a great game!

If you ever wanted to check the amount of trackers for an app on an :android: phone, try the option I got below!

----
1. Tracker Control

Features: Uses VPN to detect and block trackers | Map of tracking destinations | Can block internet access | Traffic log | Option to quickly request data deletion | Can manage system apps | Can change IP address and DNS servers of VPN | Can enable subnet routing | :ad: blocking |

@Segebodo
Makes sense ;)

But I do know an (German native) alternative to DB Navigator I think you would really like!

It's called Öffi and it's a F-Droid repository!

@Matter @techit
Ohh!!

Are you sure there's no apps with servers though?

What about something like Tutanota, where they are on F-Droid and they have a non-free server?

@Matter
So your telling me the 100% FOSS goes only to the client?

Sorry, I'm still a bit of a beginner..

@Matter
I'm still not on your side.

A app that has a Non-free network has no meaning to 100% FOSS.

@Matter
Thanks for the article.

I'll probably do a bit more research on this.

@Segebodo

The Aurora Store is pretty neat and yes, there is a option for a anonymous account :)

Still, all apps you will ever need are in F-Droid.

I guess they just didn't like to see spammers using their awesome service just for spamming.

I'm not completely sure what they thought was going to happen?

Oh!!
My apologies...

I thought you mean't something else ;)

WebKitGTK (I'm pretty sure)

Shoutout to the Odysseus Web Browser by @alcinnz !

It's a fast, privacy respecting, elementary OS-style browser!

Yes, it is unmaintained at this moment, but the F-Droid fork is still maintained.

I wouldn't recommend Firefox as, even though they are Open source, they use proprietary plugins and gets paid to use Google as their default search engine (which is intruding the "Privacy" advertisments).

Also, they have terrible privacy defaults and aim for money.

I'm not saying Firefox is bad since they give you the power to tweak it, but it's far away from Privacy.

If your on Android, and use the Google Play Store, then there's something to change.

The Google Play Store is the place to see :ad: s thrown in your face. Also full of Proprietary software and trackers, I would skip it.

Instead use F-Droid.
