Hello everyone!

So lately, I've been learning more about GNU and the FSF.

I recently realized that Free software and Open source are not identical values.

Below I have 3 articles that could be helpful on the point:

--
Richard Stallman's, "Why Open Source misses the point of Free Software":
gnu.org/philosophy/open-source

Free software definition (GNU):
gnu.org/philosophy/free-sw.htm

Open source definition (OSI):
opensource.org/osd

Stay Safe!

@Tommy

One thing I find helpful to keep in mind is that when people say "free software" and "open source" are pretty much the same, they aren't wrong, so long as we are talking about the *artifacts* (eg, the software)

But when talking about the *people* involved in using and making these artifacts, there are *often* differences, and they can be quite contentious!

Very wise!

I never thought about it that way ;)
