Everyone asking what is #bitcoin but no one asking how is bitcoin.

Says a lot about society.

@ParmuTownley mmm not really 🤔 Remember 99% of society still has no clue what bitcoin or crypto is.

Until crypto becomes mainstream payment like credit and debit cards most people that aren't tech savvy or into tech won't know or really care about it sadly 😬

@Wetrix i think at this point a lot of people know about bitcoin. They might not understand how it works but they've atleast heard the word.

but tbf most people don't know they're running linux on their phone.

"But tbf most people don't know theyre running Linux on their phone."

Its probably because they aren't. Android used some parts of Linux's kernel code -- the similarities between Android and Linux past that are miniscule at best.

@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat @Wetrix

Have you tried CalyxOS and other degoogled variants of Android?

Stock android sure is trash but its open source elements still allow it be very useful to pure open source ones.

@ParmuTownley @Wetrix I've used Stock, Lineage, manufacturer ROMs, and Graphene. I have never used Calyx because I can't stand the developers, and also their OS lacks a lot of security improvements, but I'd imagine its a fine choice for many people. I think Android's great, I have nothing against it, I'm just saying that the statement that it's Linux or based on Linux is a bit hyperbolic.
