@resist1984 75k in the U.S. doesn't get you as far as the equivalent amount of currency in another country. Rent, mortgages, food which has counter intuitively become more expensive during the pandemic, faster internet to handle a whole family's conference calls and whatever else they're doing, and have enough left over for an emergency fund? Remember, you absolutely don't get 75k after taxes. If you're in New York, for example, you won't even bring home a full 50k.
I have no strong political standing, and I still think 75k is a perfectly reasonable number when you bring all factors into consideration. Especially taking into account all of the people who have families and who need to support them.
