They probably don't have time to learn about Linux, Signal, Tor, Spoofed numbers, crypto, proxies, vpns, doh, secure mobile oses, sandboxing, profile separation, etc. As you say, fuck that shit. It's just objectively a nightmare, especially for someone who doesn't have the prerequisite experience. I try to get people to more private platforms but absolutely can't fault them for not wanting to and you shouldn't either.
