Android bubble: About to set up a friends device with #lineageos , looking for a gallery app that is, feature-wise, on par with the stock Samsung one (especially in terms of all the automated image classification stuff) and ideally open-source. Any recommendations?
@Billie I see the Simple Gallery a re-occurring recommendation, and though I use it myself on some devices, essentially it is little more than a file-manager with some visuals. After digging through this for a while, seems the only solution on par with this feature-wise (in terms of navigating and managing images beyond just handling files) is Google Photos which is not an option for obvious reasons. 😟 Thanks anyway for your hints!

I have a Samsung device, but I only booted it on stock ROM to update drivers, the next step was #lineageos.
Did not look around much 😅
