@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat You say yourself that this "myth" is actually true and then "debunk" it because some people understand it wrong? This makes little sense. Linux is more private ootb because as opposed to windows and macOS it does not collect any user data (unless you tell it to). This is a little generalized but basically true I would say.
What users then do with it is another story and caution with apps is advised but privacy-conscious people will be aware of this, no?
@gandalf86 @Alias_Cash Is it just me or does it look weird an a privacy-focused cryptocurrency article to advertise it on Google play and invite users to discord?
@Wetrix Does this happen while you're awake or when you wake up in the middle of the night?
@gritnot Tusky
@Wetrix @mistermonster @Kakeru Very welcome. I would also add that protondb.com for steam games is a great resource as well as lutris.net and the lutris app for (almost) everything else. Between those you should be able to play most games that are playable on Linux.
@Wetrix
And here you have a video for setting up Mint for gaming. You can also have look at the channel for other videos about other distros.

@Wetrix @mistermonster @Kakeru If you wanna join on matrix you need to pick a homeserver. This would be an obvious choice: https://privacytools.io/services/chat/
It doesn't matter much however because of federation. Please don't choose matrix.org otherwise you're good.
@Wetrix @mistermonster @Kakeru This is rather a matter of taste. For a beginner I´d recommend one of the larger distros. Especially if you're coming from windows Mint is a good choice in my opinion but you can also pick Ubuntu, Fedora etc. The desktop environment doesn't matter just pick what suits you.
For gaming Pop!_OS is a good choice because driver setup. But at the end of the day you can game on all of them.

@Wetrix @Kakeru That depends somewhat on the distro you use. But in general it´s not a big deal. I´m using manjaro and drivers are just available in the standard repos. Nvidia drivers are proprietary so for some distros you have to jump through a few hoops. Still it is not a big deal especially if you are not new to linux.
@cuervo Why would you say that?
