@cjleads There are various frontends to osm. Depending on your device you could use qwant maps or OSMand for mobile phones which is very useful and even works offline
@Wetrix Now that's a very Fight-Club-ish thought
@resist1984 @cjleads @Wetrix Yes I agree. Unfortunately, it's hard enough already to get people to even switch away from WhatsApp so I consider basically everything an improvement
@resist1984 @Wetrix @cjleads I don't dispute those facts but there are reasons for that, not all of which are malicious. You don't have to use it if you don't like it but I still think some of these issues are overblown.
@resist1984 @cjleads @Wetrix I'm afraid I don't agree at all with the assessment in this post. Comparing signal with surveillance capitalism à la Facebook and Google hardly seems fair.
@Tommy Have you considered codeberg.org? You could also always self-host as mentioned above. In that case gitea comes to mind.
@nikolal @storewidenastinessdrizzlyfetch But what if FFs security goes down the drain, now the security team seems to be gone? Won't that have an impact on TBB as well?
@nikolal I feel you!
@Tommy Do you have specific projects in mind?
@nikolal I agree, it's probably nothing personal. Also, keep in mind that your family members may not feel comfortable with you knowing which porn sites they visit. ;)
@quad The struggle is real!
@Tommy
Dude, you're on the freaking privacytools mastodon instance. If people want to learn about this, they can read up on it comprehensively on privacytools.io
@brianpagan
That is not at all what "Schadenfreude" means. It is rather the glee you feel at the misfortune of someone else.

@kravietz Holy smokes... This may be legit at all but ... Yeesh
@nikolal This is actually pretty fun, I've done this in the past!
