Which web browser do you use?

@Wetrix i believe solid can be self hosted. It's the way that data is being requested that has changed.

@gandalf86 PoW has its disadvantages but it also truly works. PoS is also good but there's one disadvantage that gets unnoticed, that is people keep their funds in custodial exchanges. Which allows exchanges to take users funds and stake that and become validators.

Energy usage of PoW is bad. Though remember energy usage isn't bad. Energy generation from non renewable is. So it depends how the energy used to mine was generated. It's good if it's more solar. Bad if not.

Tim Berners-Lee's startup launches privacy platform "solid". I did hear about solid in 2017. Looks like its ready now.

@gandalf86 @privacytools @purism I like monero. It's really big achievement for humanity. I believe privacy is fundamental right and no one should be allowed to spy on our financial transactions.

Though regulators really have a problem with this. And I understand that. I'd love to solve this problem but not at the expense of our freedom and privacy.

I believe if law enforcement can get a warrant from court and then ask the person to show their transactions is one good idea.

Where do you live?

@Wetrix I've never liked trending. It has either been irrelevant or needlessly polarizing.

@Wetrix I read a book "Factfulness" by Hans Gosling. That book shows how the world has become better than before and we live in the most peaceful times ever.

Two pages from that book:

@Wetrix reboots are easy with SSDs.

I play RPGs generally. The Witcher 3, Red Dead Redemption 2, Rainbow Six Siege and now waiting for Cyberpunk 2077.

These days I'm playing Watch Dogs 2.

@thelinuxEXP man I got so concerned before seeing you're linking to a game.

How do you think the world is compared to before?

Is the world a better place than before or was it better in old days?

@ThreeBadgersInATrenchcoat @Wetrix yes I've tried proton! It works well but there are some games (especially rainbow six siegie) that don't work. I wouldn't want to change OSs when I switch from Witcher 3 to r6s.

Also my pc is potato so I can't really afford losing fps over OS call conversion.

@Wetrix Same for me, so I dual boot. I use Linux as primary OS and boot windows when I want to play.

What games do you play?
