@nikolal @ParmuTownley looks interesting but until they get the mobile apps up and running and it's not like the fediverse where you have to register for every sub I don't see it going anywhere?

You don't need to register for every sub, you register for one and federate with other subs, just like fediverse instances. Or you can host your own and federate with subs you want to

I just want to add, there's another site oriented link aggregator (reddit without subreddits, like hackernews) being built for ActivityPub that also looks very promising. https://github.com/mariusor/go-littr
