@Obscurequokka I was with you until skateboarding. Have you seen it? If it's not a legitimate sport, I don't know what is. Seems on par with any gymnastics, diving or skating β€” anywhere you have a bench of judges giving marks.

I have not.
And yes I did acknowledge the commonalities with the other sports you mentioned. To me those too are not sports.
As to inclusion in olympics, I can maybe hold my contempt and accept tradition. But adding even more subjective sports events Olympics takes away the beauty of raw competition like in Track and Field, Archery, Swimming, Wrestling etc.

@Obscurequokka are, so your position is even more radical :-) Okay, that's fair. I, for one, think that whenever people can more or less reliably compare who's personally better in some kind of activity, it's certainly a sport.
