@Obscurequokka I'm actually reading The Hunt for Red October for the first time.

@Obscurequokka It's about a new, undetectable Russian submarine and its rogue captain. Set during the 80's. Written by Tom Clancy. Spies, politics, personal agendas, etc. It was a good movie. I expect the book will be better. So far, so good.

@Obscurequokka it’s good, I’m on book 4. It’s a fantasy series, but not heavy on the magic / far fetched kind of stuff, which i like. Plot can take a bit to build but pays off.

@Obscurequokka I was reading a dragonlance novel before my PC died.

The Ravenloft novel "knight of the black rose" is on my bedside though πŸ₯€πŸ“–

Lord Soth!

It's a little beat up, I found it in the garage πŸ˜…

@Obscurequokka I've been listening to the Spellmonger series in audiobook form, 21 hours into book 8, I've listened to just over a weeks worth of audio since the start of December πŸ˜– Guess it's easier when you can't leave the house lol

@Obscurequokka
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles

An aristocrat is living under house arrest in a luxury hotel during the Russian Revolution.

@Obscurequokka
It's rather light, whimsical, & amusing. Not what I was expecting.

@Obscurequokka A travel guide of industrial heritage sites in Italy, because I'm a masochist :D

OTOH, if this summer is going to have relatively few restrictions like last summer had, there are enough places in that book that are close enough (and attract small enough number of people) that I can realistically plan to visit them.
