It is a bit jarring at first to #toot in a tiny social network, but is also refreshing to not chase the dopamine hit of endless scrolling and needless searches.
(I mean I still do as a force of habit but there is nothing)

@Wetrix @Obscurequokka agreed. I’m finding keeping up with matrix is akin to one of the primary reasons I dropped off most forms of mainstream social media.
@gritnot @Obscurequokka yeah I couldn't keep up with it. I put my phone down and came back 10 minutes later and had no idea what they were talking about, and it wasn't privacy related anyway.
I find this is more my thing. I can just pick up and read things people sent me etc 😊
@Obscurequokka that's just it. It becomes like a home where you can catch up with friends and see what's up vs just a never ending feed of garbage and random stuff. 😊🗑️🚮
