@MrNarrow those are blue crabs. They're small for a crab but delicious and ubiquitous along the Atlantic coast of North America.
@mister_monster maybe we have something similar here called the 'Blue swimmer' crab actually, has a nice blue on the shell before you cook them. Wish I lived closer to the ocean...

@MrNarrow yeah very different, although they look possibly related beyond both just being crabs. Those are found in Australia and Indonesia right?
@mister_monster yeah I've caught them on the east coast of Australia but it appears they are all over according to that Wikipedia page.
