thinking of running my own email hosting from home but unsure of the chances there would be an exploit in the software running it that would allow someone access, anyone have thoughts on this?

@yeahmate12 unfortunately most consumer IP addresses are blocked by spam filters so you may have huge trouble getting your email delivered to the big players like gmail or outlook. I once created an email server using a VPS (virtual private server) which circumvents the above problem but be aware that it’s a constant time drain due to maintenance.
