@alsalahad I wonder what the #privacy implications are of a satellite #phone. For example, do these systems support end to end encryption for calls between satellite phones? Also do the satellites and base stations they connect to keep any meta-data logs?

Maybe a better question is how does the privacy compare to using a regulate mobile phone subscription?
