The people doing this work may be employed by a competitor today, and may be a work colleague down the road. But even when you're working for a competitor, you are colleagues in doing this work, which often requires cross-company cooperation and collaboration.

I can vouch for this.
Plus nobody wins when vulnerabilities are discovered. If unpatched, only threat actors win. But never the good guys. It’s not like Azure having issues will automatically make everyone choose AWS. It reduces public trust in all clouds.
