As a Boeing employee, it breaks my heart that they can't get a break. I've been here for the past 10 years, and it's been an exciting journey. Full of up and downs, but most importantly, always surrounded with incredibly talented people that used to change the world every day before lunch break.
Used to, because most of them left. We used to be proud of working here, but nowadays it seems like it's a job like any other.
I don't consider likely that Boeing crashes. It has crazy expensive contracts with many governments, and all of the world's space exploration programs rely at least partially on Boeing.
It is possible they stop manufacturing planes, which would be a huge blow but...
In any case, if shit ever hits the fan, I know I'll find a new role somewhere else. But I'd still hate for Boeing to crash. We all will be much worse off. Competition is what drives innovation.
