Are you giving yourself excuses to avoid taking on responsibilities that would be good long-term, because they scare you?

Do not avoid your worries through simple distractions.

Redirect the mind to be truly focused elsewhere.

@dianoetic I find writing also helps organize the thoughts. Sometimes when crafting a response, I find that what I was thinking didn't make all that much sense and I have to reconsider it. Especially if I want to communicate my thoughts to someone in a coherent way.
