@InternetRooky I would. My favorite TV show doesn’t have any podcasts (that I’ve found) and I would love to do a deep dive on it since it only got one season before cancelation. Like was already mentioned, just doing simple voice change stuff like increase/decrease pitch would be too easy to decode I think, so a voice anonymizer would need to be more complex or random. Or just use a computer voice to read out the script? (So impersonal, though.)
@thedeltaflyer Good TV show + only 1 season = Firefly. If I'm right, you're nearly doxxed haha.
For the computer reading out the script, I agree too impersonal. I think preserving the inflection in the voice is critical to connecting with the audience.
If I think about videos on youtube there is some cringe factor or some feeling that its inauthentic the moment you start hearing the computer voice.
@thedeltaflyer That's exactly what a Firefly fan would say! 😂
Def worth watching though.
Yeah, I like your idea. There has to be more fans that would appreciate the commentary. Could be in the format of like a Directors commentary. As with a lot of this stuff it seems like video editing is a big barrier. But you can do a side by side video recording pretty easy with something like OBS.
