I deleted my twitter account this morning before getting out of bed, instagram should be next. Even though Instagram is owned by facebook, in which i have deleted my account, i am still looking for an alternative. Any suggestions?

You should be able to follow Pixelfed accounts through your Mastodon account.

@FluhartyML I think it depends on the Pixelfed instance in particular. At the moment ActivityFed federation is optional (and maybe disabled by default) in Pixelfed, so the instance admin would have to enable it themselves.
@jonah oh they probably don’t want normal instances to be pixelfeds because picelfeds limit each supscriber to one gig for pictures and providers for normal instances charge the sysadmin or offer limited space per instance
